User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X Mach-O; en-US; rv:1.7.5) Gecko/20041107 Firefox/1.0
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X Mach-O; en-US; rv:1.7.5) Gecko/20041107 Firefox/1.0

There is no activity when the master password is reset.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.Click on reset
2.
3.

Actual Results:
Nothing

Expected Results:
Reset the master password

This feature was included in Mozilla (from a long time ago) but cannot be
reproduced in Firefox.
Same for me. Trying to reset master password, and when I click on the button,
nothing happens at all.

To confirm that this doesn't work, I proceed to change my master password, leave
the first one blank, type in a new one twice, and the old one 'doesn't match'.

Windows 2000 Professional, SP4.

Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.7.8) Gecko/20050511
Firefox/1.0.4

This needs to get fixed before 1.1, so that people who forget their master
passwords can move on and start fresh.

PS - Tried to confirm and set as New, set the OS to all, Hardware to all, but
turns out I'm not empowered... so someone with enough power, please make these
changes.

Sorry for the double-posting... got a little trigger happy on the commit button.
Are you able to reproduce this on a nightly build from
http://www.mozilla.org/developer/ (links at the bottom)

Please test with a current trunk build before nominating bugs as blockers.
I think this is rare enough that having a user delete the files in question is
better than exposing UI that we can't really control and will see users trashing
their entire password file. (Most reset password links on websites etc let you
regain access, this doesn't!)

I'd appreciate if this could be reconsidered, or at least if someone could tell me how I can wipe out my password database without wiping out my entire profile. Every time I visit a website with a password field, I have to dismiss everyone's favourite dialogue box (https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=306730), and I'm pretty tired of it.
