In addressbook: When I search in field "Name or Email contains" and I have
selected a LDAP Directory if a use first name appears the cards with this name.
If I write the last name I can not see any card. But if I write the address mail
work OK. With a local addressbook runs OK

When I am composing a mail and began to writting the person's name appears
different mails but not all the people that have this name. With a local
addressbook runs OK. I have to begin write the mail to appears the mail of the

In the extension Contacts sidebar 0.4 when I select the LDAP directory when

Rafael,

does Bug 239699 perhaps describe the cause of your problem?

I think that the problem is different. I have debian with OpenLDAP compiled,
configured and installed manually. We use the fields or atributtes that
thunderbird need and my addressbook search perfect in LDAP server, without problems.

I would like that thunderbird do the same searches when I am composing a mail.
That is, in the header's mail in field To: thunderbird do not search by name or
other atributtes different that address mail when the subject is in LDAP list.

When I am composing a mail and open the frame "Contacts" I can search the
subjects perfect by whatever atributte.

This bug has had no comments for a long time. Statistically, we have found that
bug reports that have not been confirmed by a second user after three months are
highly unlikely to be the source of a fix to the code.

While your input is very important to us, our resources are limited and so we
are asking for your help in focussing our efforts. If you can still reproduce
this problem in the latest version of the product (see below for how to obtain a
copy) or, for feature requests, if it's not present in the latest version and
you still believe we should implement it, please visit the URL of this bug
(given at the top of this mail) and add a comment to that effect, giving more
reproduction information if you have it.

If it is not a problem any longer, you need take no action. If this bug is not
changed in any way in the next two weeks, it will be automatically resolved.
