Details
User-Agent: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.1; SV1; MSN 8.0; MSN 8.5; MSNbMSNI; MSNmen-us; MSNcIA) Build Identifier: firefox download expander files dated 11-07-04 version not known .forefix.exe has NO # Have 2 computers both XP both have firewall exceptions for Mozilla. Neither will set up firefox giving error messages as "start.mozilla.org cannot be found" Noticed that there is an attempt to run msn.com which fails with an error message.HOWEVER. If I first open internet using MSN8.5 or MSN9 on my computers (MSN is my ISP) everything works!!. My conclusion:- firefox software msn access incompatible with MSN8.5 or MSN9 which are internet setup systems Also inconsistencies with your Installation instructions which shows firefox 1.0.exe.. Downloaded 11-15-04 Firefox expanded firefox.exe dated 11-07-04 shows no version# ..Installation Tutorial shows version 0.8 version..recommended tutorial shows version 0.8 Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. 2.Discussed above 3. Actual Results: Appears that I can install Firefox OK but I haven't got that far Not sure everything will work if I have to separately access internet before using the firefox icon Expected Results: Firefox installation should access google/mozilla.org etc from the desktop icon and not give me error messages If the problem is incompatibilty with MSN8.5 and/or MSN9,I will cancel firefox... the msn programs are very useful

Asa, do we have people with MSN access who could do any testing here? I know we've had intermittent problems with firewalls and such during upgrade patterns, perhaps this provides a clue?

This is an automated message, with ID "auto-resolve01". This bug has had no comments for a long time. Statistically, we have found that bug reports that have not been confirmed by a second user after three months are highly unlikely to be the source of a fix to the code. While your input is very important to us, our resources are limited and so we are asking for your help in focussing our efforts. If you can still reproduce this problem in the latest version of the product (see below for how to obtain a copy) or, for feature requests, if it's not present in the latest version and you still believe we should implement it, please visit the URL of this bug (given at the top of this mail) and add a comment to that effect, giving more reproduction information if you have it. If it is not a problem any longer, you need take no action. If this bug is not changed in any way in the next two weeks, it will be automatically resolved. Thank you for your help in this matter.
