Using tuesday 02/08/00 CVS built on my machine (more info easily available! :) I cannot view the page http://www.nsa.gov/. Using lynx, I get redirected to http://www.nsa.gov:8080/about_nsa/index.html. Using netscape communicator 4.7 on the same computer also redirects me to http://www.nsa.gov:8080/about_nsa/index.html. Typing http://www.nsa.gov:8080/ directly into the address bar seems to work well
This sounds like an HTTP Refresh header problem. This would make a dup of bug 17570.
It does look roughly like a dup of 17570; but, not having experimented much with that bug, I don't know that for sure, so I would rather not resolve/dup this bug myself. If it is a dup, why didn't the patch from mid november fix the problem? Someone who has worked on 17570 could mark this a dup with no complaints from me. :) Thanks!
The www.nsa.gov is doing something special -- the headers it sends on the redirect are malformed (but mozilla should still cope). See bug #22886. This is the same bug. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 22886 ***
