RESOLVED DUPLICATE of bug 212776

Details

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.5) Gecko/20041107 Firefox/1.0
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.5) Gecko/20041107 Firefox/1.0

My Windows username (and therefore my "home" dir) has non-US-ASCII characters
(it's "Roberto Ordóñez"). Calendar is unable to create or open calendar (.ics)
files anywhere under that directory. If I put them in any path that doesn't
have international chars, it works fine. But I can't get around the problem by
putting an existing .ics file in that directory--the events don't show up when
the file's path has anything non-ASCII in it. :(

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Create a directory with a non-US-ASCII character in the name (á, é, ä, ñ, etc.)
2. In Calendar, create a new calendar & ask to put it in that folder
3. Try to add events to that calendar--they're never added & they don't show up
(of course).
Actual Results:
The events I try to add to that calendar simply don't show up--they're never
created.

Expected Results:
The event should show up as normal.

I thought this was the same as [Bug 263570] in Firefox, since that's what I'm
running Calendar in. But when that bug in Firefox is patched, this still
happens. :(

This seems to be a fairly major issue, since it makes Calendar nearly unusable
for non-English speakers. :(
