User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/125.5.5 (KHTML, like Gecko) Safari/125.11 Build Identifier: on random starts the menu bar shows the first item 'Firefox' only and no other items, ability to manually enter a URL is also removed and cannot enter into any text box presented by any page including this page. Report sent using Safari as Firefox and Thunderbird (same problem) have become unuseable Thunderbird will also not allow manual entry of email address Reproducible: Sometimes Steps to Reproduce: 1.launch firefox / thunderbird 2. 3. Actual Results: full functionality sometimes, re-launch fixes sometimes. have tried removing prefs and re-installing from newly downloaded copies...problem re-appears within 3 ` 4 launches Expected Results: show full menu bar items on launch allow manual entry of url allow entry of text into fields on web page(s) allow manual entry of email address in new email using MacOS 10.3.6 on tiBook 1gHz/1gb RAM cable modem have had to go back to Eudora and Safari after high expectations MS Explorer works fine not seen this behaviour with any other program Firefox/Thunderbird problems seem VERY similar and may be using same piece of code
Peter, In the future report each specific bug seperatly. For example reporting a bug in Thunderbird here does you no good. Also instead of removing the prefs. Try removing the Firefox folder located in ~/Library/Application Support Then report back with the results. - Thanks.
