There doesn't seem to be an "Age in Days" in the message filters dialog, even
though there is such an option in the "Search Messages..." dialog.  It is
unclear from the UI whether there is some kind of syntax for filtering based on
message age or whether the functionality simply doesn't exist.

"Age in Days" is currently only available for POP mail.
Bug 177294 is about implementing it for IMAP.  I don't see a bug about the lack 
of this feature for News.
