Details
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X Mach-O; en-US; rv:1.8a5) Gecko/20041119 Firefox/0.9.1+ Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X Mach-O; en-US; rv:1.8a5) Gecko/20041119 Firefox/0.9.1+ Firefox never tries the saved username/password when visiting a site. It should try first then prompt if the username/password fails. I have my home page password protected. You can't believe how annoying it is that Firefox never uses the information I've given it. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: Visit a site that requires a username and password. Save them. Restart. Visit that site again. Expected Results: Try the saved information and prompt only if the response is a 401.
