Neither the menu-command nor the right mouse button context-menu opens any
dialog box. The 'Save Media' seems to work. Before reporting I reinstalled
'firefox-1.0.en-US.mac.dmg' dated 11-07-2004. Unfortunately I haven't used the
saving dialog after the final 1.0 release. However it worked on the September
release candidate.

It definitively is not working on my machine (2x 2GHz Jun .04)

Here's what I did so far:
• Saving this page with Safari ->ok!
• Downloading the latest nightly Mozilla build -> Saving is working!
• Downloading the latest nightly Firefox build -> No saving dialog is popping up. 
• Downloading the official Firefox 1.0 release again -> Same as above.

My guess would be that Firefox is causing the trouble.

Well I can do one additional thing. I don't know if the installed extentions
interfere with the 'Save Page as ...' - dialog. However I will remove one after
the other. If there is any change I will come back and report about it.

AAARGH it's the Download Sort 2.5.0 Extention dated 16.Nov.2004.
Can anybody advise how to proceed as this has been updated automatically in the
background through the auto-update feature.

I will change the status flag to FIXED as this is seems to be an extention
problem. However I will switch the auo-update to OFF ;-(

OK, please contact the developers of that extension. not fixed, but invalid. Please, do not mark FIXED, as that is only for when a patch is checked into the tree.
