The option to save them to harddisk should remain to enable the possibility to scan the file for viruses. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. right mouse klick on attachment 2 [review]. choose open 3. open the attachment Actual Results: the attachment is executed Expected Results: disable this possibility

Execution of programs is disabled by default; I suspect you have inadvertantly done something to enable this. Take a look in Tools|Options|Attachments -- is there a listing for the EXE COM SCR or other executable file extensions? If so, try removing those entries. (You could also edit them so that the default action is "save" rather than "open"; but in this case, the menu will still show "save" and "open" entries, even tho selecting "open" still actually saves.) Also take a look in your profile directory at mimeTypes.rdf -- open it in a text editor and see if there are any entries related to "application/x-msdownload".
