when you downlaod a file which should be handled with stuffit expander (like
.sit, .zip,... set in Preferences->Download->File Types)

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.goto Preferences... -> Download -> File Types and delete the entry for ZIP (if
exists)
2.goto http://tc.versiontracker.com/product/redir/lid/493857/isticky17b8.zip
3.a dialog appears: select open with Stuffit Expander (default)

Actual Results:  
the file is downladed to the desctop and expanded with stuffit expander

Expected Results:  
the file should be downloaded to the Download folder not to the desctop and
expanded with stuffit expander

if you select in step 3 "save to disc" the file is downlaoded to the Download
folder but (correctly) not expanded with stuffit
i use stuffit expander 7.0
