User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.7) Gecko/20040808 Firefox/0.9.3 Build Identifier: Mozilla thunderbird 0.9 (20041116) Somethimes thunderbird decides to merge several mail entries into one before parsing. I.e. instead of seeing the mail I'm supposed to I get an old mail followed by another mail (incl headers), and another, and another, until finally the real mail shows up at the bottom. I haven't found any pattern to which mail causes the problem but the problem is there every time I open a problem mail (it doesn't come and go). The extra mail entries merged are the ones preceeding the real entry (as laid out on the server, sorting does not matter) starting with the oldest. The number of entries merged are not the same for every incident. The header is parsed correctly in the main list (subject and sender is ok). But in the message pane the invalid, merged mail is parsed giving an incorrect subject and sender. The problem is confirmed to be in thunderbird. Webmail to the same servers opens the mail just fine. This has also been observed on two different servers (courier and iplanet). Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce:

Some more information. This behaviour does not appear on my laptop which should be very similar. I copied the profile from the workstation to the laptop when running 0.7. They have since been upgraded with the same packages (first 0.8, now 0.9). The RPM:s have been from fedora.us which have integrated enigmail. The latest however is based on the one in FC3 and upgraded by me to 0.9. Enigmail is applied manually after package installation now. No other plugins are present.
User-Agent : Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; fr-FR; rv:1.7.5) Gecko/20041108 Firefox/1.0 Build Identifier: Mozilla thunderbird version 1.0 (20041206) I have observed the same problem : I have multiple mail accounts and when I receive mails, some (from differents accounts) are merged together. I can't reproduce it each time.

I'm now running thunderbird 1.0 and the problem has disappeared. So if Tolivier doesn't have any problems with the latest version then you can close this bug.

It seems I lied. It just became more seldom. Bug is still present in latest release.

This is an automated message, with ID "auto-resolve01". This bug has had no comments for a long time. Statistically, we have found that bug reports that have not been confirmed by a second user after three months are highly unlikely to be the source of a fix to the code. While your input is very important to us, our resources are limited and so we are asking for your help in focussing our efforts. If you can still reproduce this problem in the latest version of the product (see below for how to obtain a copy) or, for feature requests, if it's not present in the latest version and you still believe we should implement it, please visit the URL of this bug (given at the top of this mail) and add a comment to that effect, giving more reproduction information if you have it. If it is not a problem any longer, you need take no action. If this bug is not changed in any way in the next two weeks, it will be automatically resolved. Thank you for your help in this matter.
