User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X Mach-O; en-US; rv:1.8a5) Gecko/20041121 Firefox/0.9.1+
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X Mach-O; en-US; rv:1.8a5) Gecko/20041121 Firefox/0.9.1+

As stated above .... after loging out of this site the browser just stares at
me. It DOES accomplish logout, but the page does not reload to the prescribed
default, instead leaving my secure account information displayed. Eventually it
says the web site cannot be contacted. However, if I stop the page, then try to
reload, it works fine.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.Login
2.Browse (its a bank account)
3.Logout

Actual Results:
The browser locks up with the spiral "working" icon spinning in the upper right.
Then eventually a warning that says the web site cannot be found appears.
Visiting any other site works fine, and if stopped and reloaded before timing
out, this site then functions normally also.

Log out and return to the bank's home page.

Could you please make an HTTP log of the interaction (as described at
http://www.mozilla.org/projects/netlib/http/http-debugging.html ) and attach it
to this bug using
https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/attachment.cgi?bugid=271187&action=enter ?
I was not able to use the information you emailed to me requesting http
logging. I tried several times to no avail. Even tried substituting "Firefox"
for "Mozilla" to no help, though I got close. Please send me more detail in
capturing http logging for these stubborn and continuing crashes ... I
submitted another two today -- very similar but a total crash each time ... And
I will try my best to capture the http packets. Meanwhile, I hope this log that
is attached will help. Thanks. Steve Pear
reporter: could you use file>save as>web page complete? i'm mostly trying to
figure out what kind of plugin is on that page. either way, please copy the
output from about:plugins here. generally i bet on java.

(I'm chiming in because I've been CCed on this problem.)

> reporter: could you use file>save as>web page complete?

Please do.

But I don't think Java is involved here. Admittedly I can't do a full
test (I don't have an account at the bank in question). But when I
went to the URL cited above and did a "fake" logon (made up account
and password, which of course failed), no applets were loaded.

Furthermore, I just did a quick Google search on GetQDGlobalsBlack
(where the crashes always occur), and I found something quite
interesting:

http://www.mail-archive.com/chimera@mozdev.org/msg03514.html

So this problem may be a Flash problem, and the reporter may need to
upgrade his Flash version. (I know this is an old problem ... but
it's clear from the crash logs that the reporter is using OS X
10.2.8.)

Attached file Additional Information
I think I actually created a Firefox crash log .... that is attached and
hopefully contains some useful information for you.

In the last two instances within both tha Mozilla and the Firefox crash logs,
you can duplicate the issue with this different site --
www.weatherunderground.com.

As the page is loading, try to enter a zip code or city into the search block,
then click on search. Alternatively, try to enter a username and password and
click login -- all before the page finishes loading.

I agree that on a hi speed connection this may be difficult, but on even a 56k
dialup you have plenty of time.

If you do as I have described above the program will crash. As I stated, the
last two crashes in the crash log are of THAT process.

I will update my Flash Player as indicated in the response from
smichaud@pobox.com with the link from the Chimera site. I will post a response
in a few days as to how that fares.

Thanks to smichaud@pobox.com and to timeless@bemail.org for your responses.

FINALLY :-0 Here is your HTTP log for the crash. I used weatherunderground
because I'm kinda sensitive about what this might disclose with my bank
account. I am going to check and update my flash player now ... I just wanted
everyone to have this first. Steve

doesn't look very interesting (but thank you for trying it). next would be
about:plugins :)
In an email from smichaud@pobox.com, I checked my Flash version and it was 2
revisions earlier than his. I installed version 7.0,24,0 from the Macromedia
site and the problem was solved ... go figure.

Sorry for the exercise in futility ... but I tell you one thing.....

You have the greatest product on the internet, and I am happy to use it ! ! ! !

MS Internet Exploder is so poor that I almost never use it except on my company
site, which does not support MAC anything. And, Netscape MAC is so loaded down,
this is the perfect OSX companion.

Rgds to all for a very happy holiday season ! ! ! !

STeve Pear
Sounds like this was a flash bug, then....
