Hello again. Here's another bug I found with the tasks list in Sunbird 0.2b.

There is a button in the tasklist that theoretically allows me to select which
columns I would like in the table, and which I would not.

I can click on those already selected, which removes them from the table, but I
cannot add columns (or return those I have removed by clicking on them).
Clicking on a column name with no "check" next to it has no effect at all.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:

This is using the latest build (12th November / 0.2b) of Sunbird, straight out
of the tarball (not built from source) on a Debian sarge machine in the UK.
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.8a5)
Gecko/20041112 Mozilla Sunbird/0.2RC1

Can still reproduce this on 0.2RC1.
FYI, it works fine on w2k.

Does that control work to add columns in the events table on that machine ?

I've just tested it with the events table, as suggested by gekacheka@yahoo.com.
That also suffers from the same behaviour.

In addition to this, I found I can hide/unhide these columns by editing
localstore.rdf and adding/removing the 'hidden="true"' from the appropriate
column's RDF:Description element, and then restarting Sunbird, so I'm guessing
the defect is in the frontend.
Are there any errors in the Javascript Console?

Does the columns control work on that machine to add columns on other Moz1.8
based products, such as Mozilla Suite 1.8aN in mail headers table?

(Since sunbird just uses the standard Mozilla component and the component works
fine on w2k, the problem does not appear to be in Sunbird's front end, so
suspicion falls to the implementation of that component in that build, or on
that platform.)
Sorry it's taken so long to reply.

None.

I didn't try to install this, but an interesting thing is that when I used the
GTK2+XFT build (rather than the straight XUL version) it worked fine.
