Details

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X Mach-O; en-US; rv:1.8a5) Gecko/20041117
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X Mach-O; en-US; rv:1.8a5) Gecko/20041117

Sidebar internet search no longer works using multiple search engines at the
same time.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.Check (selct) more than one internet search engine to use for a search query.
2.Click on Search.

Actual Results:
The expewcted search result fail to be displayed.

Expected Results:
I expect the results of my search using multiple search engines to be displayed.

Internet sidebar search works if ONLY one search engine is selected. Using
multiple search engines at the same time no longer works. When I used an 18a4
nightly from September 15, 2004 search with multiple search engines still
worked. I am unsure when the broken nightly appeared.
Looks like a regression from bug 265987. See bug 265987 comment 18.
That doesn't seem likely, since that was checked in on the 19th and this is
claimed to be in a build from the 17th.

Reporter, if you can possibly narrow down the regression range to one day, that
would be very helpful!

I know but look at the other bug report (from the same reporter!) bug 271308
comment 0: He has different build ids. Reporter, with which real build do you
have problems? (look at the browser window title bar)

I am closing this bug as worksforme since later versions of mozilla seem to have
resolved this issue.

Appologizes, I am openning this bug. I thought I reported this bug for a version
of Mozilla earlier than 1.8a5. The 1.8a5 versions have been too buggy to be
useable on my B/W G3-350. I am re-opening this bug.

This bug has had no comments for a long time. Statistically, we have found that
bug reports that have not been confirmed by a second user after three months are
highly unlikely to be the source of a fix to the code.

While your input is very important to us, our resources are limited and so we
are asking for your help in focussing our efforts. If you can still reproduce
this problem in the latest version of the product (see below for how to obtain a
copy) or, for feature requests, if it's not present in the latest version and
you still believe we should implement it, please visit the URL of this bug
(given at the top of this mail) and add a comment to that effect, giving more
reproduction information if you have it.

If it is not a problem any longer, you need take no action. If this bug is not
changed in any way in the next two weeks, it will be automatically resolved.
