User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.7.5) Gecko/20041107 Firefox/1.0 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.7.5) Gecko/20041107 Firefox/1.0 The pages seem to display properly but the forms on some of the pages do not work in Mozilla-based browsers. Page source contains proprietary tags (page does not validate) and proprietary JavaScript functions (window.showModelessDialog, etc.). Note: The portions of this site that do not work correctly are hosted on a secure server so it will be necessary to create an account and attempt to complete an application for a state job to reproduce the errors. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Browse to http://statejobs.state.wy.us/ 2.Hit 'Sign In' button 3.Click on 'New Profile' 4.Create a new 'Online Services profile' 5.Enter 'required' information (There are only about 8 required fields) 6.Open your browser's JavaScript console 7.In 'Create Login ID and Password' section (near bottom of page) Click on ' View Password' or 'Requirements' - the JavaScript console will display "Error: window.showModelessDialog is not a function Source File: https://egov.state.wy.us/Profile.aspx Line: 453" 8.This is the first of many problems with the site that are apparently related to the proprietary software used to create the site. 9.Click on the 'Add' button to complete the new profile (you will be logged in automatically) 10.Click on the 'General Information' link near the top of the page (this takes you to the first page of the actual employment application) 11.Make sure that the 'StateWide' checkbox is unchecked 12.Click on the 'Select' button to select locations (nothing happens and the JavaScript console will display the pertinent errors) 13.There are other errors on the site but an exhaustive list is probably unnecessary here 14.Pages also contain 'client sniffers' Actual Results: Site does not function as expected Expected Results: Site should function as expected
Please do not abuse this site by creating unnecessary accounts if you do not have the skills required to correct the problems listed in this bug report!

I don't even know where to *start* with this site. It throws errors all over the place and tries to create popups constantly. I think the taxpayer in Wyoming should get his money back. mlewis, have you contacted them and told them their site is virtually useless on any browser besides IE for Windows?
