Details

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.2) Gecko/20040804 Netscape/7.2 (ax) Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.2) Gecko/20040804 Netscape/7.2 (ax) Today I attempted to install Firefox 1.0 over my previous install of Firefox PR1 and lost much of my home directory. I had Firefox PR1 installed in /home/tmbeihl/firefox . When I attempted to install Firefox 1.0 final with the installer, after changing the install directory to /home/tmbeihl a dialog box was displayed stating that there was already a install of firefox in the directory that would be deleted. After clicking OK I found that all the files in /home/tmbeihl were being deleted. I terminated the installer and have not tried to reproduce. Reproducible: Didn't try Steps to Reproduce: see above Actual Results: I lost many of my files as I can only write to /home/tmbeihl with my linux setup Expected Results: I should have firefox installed in /home/tmbeihl/firefox without losing any of my data!
