Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.6) Gecko/20050223 Firefox/1.0.1 That link opens properly for me. Isn't MACXW4.DRV an ATI display driver? Maybe you should see if there is a newer one and see if the problem goes away.

Yes, this was an ATI driver.
Meanwhile I've managed to upgrade my system to WinXP SP2 and honestly don't
feel like fiddling with Win98 settings again.
If this doesn't reproduce, I think the buglet can be closed.
