User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.5) Gecko/20041107 Firefox/1.0 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.5) Gecko/20041107 Firefox/1.0 While you give in http://http:// with any address after (like http://http://www.google.ch) you ll be redirected to http://www.spiegel.de. i didn't test it but it must have to do with the german version of firefox or a german plugin. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open Firefox 2. Give in "http://http://[any address]" at Adress Bar 3. you'll be redirected to www.spiegle.de... 4. possability to read crapy news in german Expected Results: "Address not found" or automaticly delete the first http:// and go to the page
Happens in an en-US build as well.
Summary: redirect to www.spiegel.de when firefox has german language pack...;) → http://http:// redirects to www.spiegel.de
Weird. Now I get redirected to http://www.microsoft.com/. Might be a dupe of bug 85999, although Seamonkey redirects to http://www.http.com/.
