Mail summery file will be broken when restarting a canceled download of headers
for a subscibed newsgroup. It seems that we don't save the state when aborting a
download.

All you have to do is following. Subscribe to a newsgroup - it's better to
choose a large one. Start to download all headers and interrupt the process by
pressing esc, stop button or closing the application. After that restart the
download. At this time you will already notice that all headers are downloaded
again. Wait until the download is finished or cancel it again. Now mark the
newsgroup as read.

The header of postings with the same message id are downloaded multiple times.
They are correctly arranged within their own thread. Try to 'mark as unread' one
of them to see the misbehaviour. More then one posting will be marked as unread
simultaneously.

This bug is visible with current builds of TB and SeaMonkey.
Henrik,
do you still see this?

not sure I followed your steps accurately, but I'm not seeing this.
I can't see this behavior anymore. Seems to be fixed by a patch on another bug.
