The example URL (regardless what content they provide) shows that if a comment
is added at the end of a line having a trailing ending tag breaks the page layout.
The page viewed with IE is shown correctly.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open the mentioned webpage with Firefox
2. Open the mentioned webpage with IE
3. Compare

Actual Results:  
The page is not shown correctly in Firefox 1.0.
The logo of that site is somewhere at the most bottom left position.
Additionally I see ending comments ('..>') on the screen, the link "Home" is not
shown correctly.

Expected Results:  
It should be able to recognize the end of the comment at the same line as an
other tag appears in front.

No, what that page shows is that comments containing two (or fifty) dashes
(which is what actually ends a comment) break things.

INCOMPLETE due to lack of activity since the end of 2009.

If someone is willing to investigate the issues raised in this bug to determine whether they still exist, *and* work with the site in question to fix any existing issues, please feel free to re-open and assign to yourself.
