I've been using the group by ability to sort my mails, except that I have about
6 groups, and would like to keep some open and some closed, would it be possible
for Thunderbird to remeber the open/closed groups for that folder and use that
the next time you switch to that folder (this will save alot of time checking
groups).
If this is not possible, then maybe keeping Today open, so you can see you have
new mail, or changing the title bar colour, if new mail arrives.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. click group Title
2. group opens/closes
3. come away from folder
4. come back and view remebered.

For some reason, after I just reopened thunderbird, the Inbo view opens
automatically on entry, this has only just started happengin (weird, and I'm
runing 0.9), please disregard the first comment, but would like to suggest an
enhancement for keeping other groups opened.

if you're talking about group by date, then Bug 267845 should be what you want...
