1) Launch Firefox
2) Type the four letters:

cdex

into Google and press <enter>.

3) The Windows "This program has performed an illegal operation..." pops up.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Launch Firefox
2. Enter "cdex" into Google and press enter
3.

Actual Results:  
Firefox was shut down by windows

Expected Results:  
a successful search for items containing "CDex" should have occurred.

FIREFOX caused a general protection fault
in module GDI.EXE at 0014:00000791.

I get the same error when I go to my.yahoo.com and news.google.com in win98.
