Details
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win98; en-US; rv:1.7.5) Gecko/20041109 Firefox/1.0 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win98; en-US; rv:1.7.5) Gecko/20041109 Firefox/1.0 "Autour du romantisme: le roman" is an academic CD-ROM produced by Trevi, which contains complete novel texts with a searchable interface, etc. It works properly with Internet Explorer, and presumeably the antiquated Netscape it comes with, but not with a more modern Firefox. When attempting to begin using the software, it gives the error "unable to open HTML\Choix\choix.htm (19)" (using the address http://127.0.0.1:9088/HTML/Choix/choix.htm); attempting to open that file using the File --> Open dialog box works only briefly; later pages also fail to load. It's very possible that the CD-ROM is just doing evil nonstandard things which make it break. ;3 But I hoped that there might be some legitimate problem that could be fixed, since I actually have to set my default browser to IE to use it. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Launch software 2. Click "Consulter" 3. Click "Commencer" 4. :( Actual Results: The software gives the "unable to open HTML\Choix\choix.htm (19)" error message. Expected Results: The software should hopefully have launched the HTML interface. The bug appears in the default configuration.
I think it could be related or dupe of bug 84128 and/or bug 122022.

It seems like the error message is coming from the CD-ROM program and not Firefox itself. Can you confirm that that is the case?

This is an automated message, with ID "auto-resolve01". This bug has had no comments for a long time. Statistically, we have found that bug reports that have not been confirmed by a second user after three months are highly unlikely to be the source of a fix to the code. While your input is very important to us, our resources are limited and so we are asking for your help in focussing our efforts. If you can still reproduce this problem in the latest version of the product (see below for how to obtain a copy) or, for feature requests, if it's not present in the latest version and you still believe we should implement it, please visit the URL of this bug (given at the top of this mail) and add a comment to that effect, giving more reproduction information if you have it. If it is not a problem any longer, you need take no action. If this bug is not changed in any way in the next two weeks, it will be automatically resolved. Thank you for your help in this matter.
