Saving account/password is a very appreciated feature for lot of people.
Even if the Password Manager warns before saving a password, it doesn’t say that
the password is viewable at the Option window in a second. And this is a Privacy
problem.
Master Password is a smart feature but doesn't suite for a computer that is not
for a particular user such as Family Home Computers. And when the Master
Password is asked, a visitor may not understand why a password is suddenly
asked. That’s why the Master Password won’t be used so much for shared computers.
So Password Manager should not allow to view saved passwords when no Master
Password is defined (which is by default). There should be stars (*****) instead.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.
2.
3.
See bug 259996 and bug 259648. The disabling of that feature was apparently
forgotten for 1.0.
