I realize that this is not a bug but but a dependency issue. Firefox should be
installable; Mandrake 9.0 ain't that old! Come on, guys. Windows 95/98/XP is
suppported, why not older versions of Linux??

BTW, Mozilla 1.7 and Firefox up to 0.8 will install and run just fine.

Upgrading glibc is neither easy or recommended, it will break linux. So, by
requiring glibc-2.3 or newer, you are excluding a substantial chunk of users.
Don't file bugs on issues that have already been reported and on which you
commented 20 minutes earlier.
