User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-GB; rv:1.7.5) Gecko/20041110 Firefox/1.0 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-GB; rv:1.7.5) Gecko/20041110 Firefox/1.0 Sometimes firefox does not start correctly. I have 2 imported profiles from older firefox versions 0.8 + 0.9. The profiles dialog comes up every time on startup, but when I chosse a profile (the dialog disappears) and nothing more happens! The Taskmanager shows that firefox.exe is loaded (with about 11 MB) into Memory, but I got no navigator window. SO I have to kill the process and try again. Reproducible: Sometimes Steps to Reproduce: 1. import / use profiels from older versions at least 2 profiles 2. start FF. 3. if it startsup correctly close FF and retry 4. in 5 of 10 cases FF does not start Actual Results: (see detail above) Expected Results: startup correctly with displaying a navigator window this problem never happens at first startup of FF after booting Windows. Always after closing FF the first time this problem appears in 5 of 10 cases
Almost same problem with FF, here. After the 'Select profile' dialog, FF refuses to start up and crashes. I get an 'Application Error. The instruction at "0x7801065f" referenced memory at 0x00. The memory could not be "read '. BUT, this happened after i downloaded and installed two plugins (as far as i remember it was flash and sockwave viewers). Problem did not fixed even with uninstall and re-install, so i have no browser now :). I believe that the problem is on plugins, so can someone tell me how to fix this? ( I tried to erase the 'plugins' directory from FF setup directory but with no luck... L.
