User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.7.3) Gecko/20041007 Debian/1.7.3-5

Frequently when I visit the slashdot home page (about 50% of the time), the main
section is too far on the left, overlapping with the menu on the left margin.
(I'm attaching a screen shot to this bug report.)

This seems to be (a) bandwidth-related, because if I reload the page several
times, the problem will often go away after a while, and (b) it is probably due
to my slashdot user name, which is "Renegade L..." (note how the user name is
unfortunately word-wrapped in the upper left corner of the page).

I am also attaching the html page source to this bug, which might be helpful.
Thanks for having a look at it, this has become quite annoying recently.

(BTW, the problem also appears in other Gecko-based browsers, e.g. Firefox.)

Steps to Reproduce:
This is fixed on trunk, will be available in Firefox 1.1
