on linux (mandrake 10.1), on mozilla, when you make a selection of a text on a
page, and you click with the wheel mouse button (3rd button), the text appears
in the location bar. This doesn't happen under windows.

It makes problems (you loose the URL of the page).

Steps to Reproduce:
1.select a part of a text in a page with the cursor
2.click on the wheel mouse button 
3.
Actual Results:  
the selected text is pasted in the location bar.

Expected Results:  
Nothing, the wheel mouse should only open a link in a new Tab, when clicked.

This is by design on *Unix (in combination with X) that clicking on the middle
mouse button pastes the text (here to the urlbar).
