Details

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.5) Gecko/20041107 Firefox/1.0 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.5) Gecko/20041107 Firefox/1.0 This relates to Thunderbird 0.9. In the same profile I have two distinct email accounts on the same domain. Let's call them userA@mydomain.com and userB@mydomain.com. The problem is that all incoming mail for both userA and userB appears in the userA inbox. Additionally all incoming mail for both userA and userB appears in the userB inbox. So in the end I have two copies of every incoming mail and I have no idea which mail came to userA and which to userB, since they both contain both sets of mail. This does not occur in Mozilla 1.6, from where the profiles were migrated. I did check the account settings in Thunderbird and they were fine. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. set up 2 user accounts on the same domain as above 2. send a mail to each account exclusively 3. witness the duplicates appear Actual Results: as above Expected Results: userA's mail should to go it's inbox only and userB's mail should go to it's inbox only. Using all default settings.
Does this happen with an all new profile when setting up the accounts manually or only when migrating them?
this is most likely a dup of the bug where profile migration messed up the tbird profile if multiple accounts had the same host name. A solution is to re-migrate with a version of tbird where that bug is fixed.
