User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.5) Gecko/20041107 Firefox/1.0
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.5) Gecko/20041107 Firefox/1.0

I can open one Yahoo Email account OK in my new Fire Fox but not another the
second opens just fine if I use Netscape 7 or IE

When I try to open the second account from Fire Fox, I get a Netapp form asking
for the password to be reentered and it does not accept the reentry even with
numerous trys.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.In Fire Fox, go to Yahoo.com
2.Click on Mail
3.enter E mail name and password

Actual Results:
A Net app form appears asking that the password be reentered

Expected Results:
It should have opened my Email account
I have the same problem. I go to yahoo.com click on mail, enter my username and
pw only to be taken to a screen asking me to verify my password. The screen is
usually the one that comes up if you have been on for a long period of time and
it wants you to confirm your ID.

I have installed the latest Firefox, deleted all cookies but I still can't get
to my email. I can go to "my yahoo!" page and it tells me I have new mail but
when I click the link it takes me to the verify page again.

I have logged out, tried both modes secure and normal and still can not get to
my mail. There are two profiles on this machine and neither one can get their
yahoo mail to open.

I can get in just fine using IE, I even make sure to log out when switching back
to Firefox to try getting into my mail.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.In Fire Fox, go to http://www.Yahoo.com
2.Click on Mail icon on top of page - takes me to mail.yahoo.com
3.enter E mail name and password

Actual Results:
Instead of opening my email it takes me to a screen asking me to verify my
password, everytime I try it stays on the same screen

Expected Results:
It should have opened my Email
I have an issue that might be related.

I can usually get into Yahoo Mail, but occasionally, after the screen refreshes,
the SIGN OUT link in the top left of the page is incorrected.
Instead of having the full URL to end the session it only has MAIL.YAHOO.COM, so
when ever it is clicked, I get returned to my inbox. Sometimes reloading the
page corrects the SIGN OUT link.

Also, on a game site I play www.eyeplaygames.com I have issues signing in. I'm
told it's a common http security setup, but I can't see the URLs. All I know
is that after clicking the SIGN IN button, I'm brought back to the login page,
as if I was just displaying it for the first time.
The really odd part: if I open Internet Explorer and sign in, I can then switch
back to Firefox and sign in successfully there. Only way I've found around it
 so far.

Windows XP Pro SP 2
Firefox 10.0.3 (first version of Firefox loaded on PC, although I have mozilla 1.6)
ADD-INs: QuickTime 6.5.2
All Cookies allowed, problems occured before and after clearing cache.

What I have found since reporting my problems, having Firefox clear out the
cookies on exit seems to correct the issue.
Maybe you have an old Yahoo cookie that is causing the login to not issue a new one?

This bug has had no comments for a long time. Statistically, we have found that
bug reports that have not been confirmed by a second user after three months are
highly unlikely to be the source of a fix to the code.

While your input is very important to us, our resources are limited and so we
are asking for your help in focussing our efforts. If you can still reproduce
this problem in the latest version of the product (see below for how to obtain a
copy) or, for feature requests, if it's not present in the latest version and
you still believe we should implement it, please visit the URL of this bug
(given at the top of this mail) and add a comment to that effect, giving more
reproduction information if you have it.

If it is not a problem any longer, you need take no action. If this bug is not
changed in any way in the next two weeks, it will be automatically resolved.

This bug should be reopened. I am not sure if this comment constitutes reopening.

I have had the identical problem accessing Yahoo email using Firefox. I loaded FF3 (which I did not like) which did not fix the problem, then went back to FF 2.0.14, problem still exists. I can get past the password problem on my old NT computer, which does not ask for the password. I can get at the email using IE.

On the forums, "cant log onto Yahoo mail" Mon 07 of Apr, 2008 by Farmerrik and 'Can't log onto Yahoo email anymore' Wed 20 of Aug, 2008 by ChibiDad (This one is mine) report the same problem.

This is annoying and it still exists.
