User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.5) Gecko/20041107 Firefox/1.0 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.5) Gecko/20041107 Firefox/1.0 Once logged into hertz.com on the 'rates and reservations' tab (https://www.hertz.com/gaq/index.jsp?targetPage=whenWhereHowPage.jsp), I get the 'Where & When' section correctly on the left side of the page BUT the right side of the window should be a list of 'Recent Rentals'. This is also where the javascript is normally loaded if I need to select an 'off-airport' location for pick-up or drop-off. The Recent Rentals does not appear automatically, and both the links for 'Hertz Location List' [javascript:changeRightLayer('/servlet/BrowseLocationServlet?type=PickupLocation')] and 'Find a Neighborhood Location' [javascript:changeRightLayer('FindNearestHertzLocation.jsp')] do nothing. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Would need a Hertz account, since links above - when entered from the home page - display the needed information in pop-up format instead. This function works ok. 2. Once logged into hertz.com, click 'Hertz Location List' or 'Find a Neighborhood Location' 3. Cannot proceed with reservation without providing accurate location info Actual Results: Same thing as described above...cannot proceed with reservation. Exact error message is 'Please select location from the right frame', which does not exist. Expected Results: Right pane should present a series of drop-down selection lists for Country, State and City, then present a list of available locations for that city.

Hertz must be doing an outdated server-side scan of the useragent, since they're trying to use document.layers, which is no longer valid. (Note that they do check for "isIE3", but that variable is never used, which leads me to believe everything is now done server-side.) This is probably an evangelism issue.
Summary: Website not presenting javascript or .jsp information once logged in. → Website not presenting javascript or .jsp information once logged in.

This is an automated message, with ID "auto-resolve01". This bug has had no comments for a long time. Statistically, we have found that bug reports that have not been confirmed by a second user after three months are highly unlikely to be the source of a fix to the code. While your input is very important to us, our resources are limited and so we are asking for your help in focussing our efforts. If you can still reproduce this problem in the latest version of the product (see below for how to obtain a copy) or, for feature requests, if it's not present in the latest version and you still believe we should implement it, please visit the URL of this bug (given at the top of this mail) and add a comment to that effect, giving more reproduction information if you have it. If it is not a problem any longer, you need take no action. If this bug is not changed in any way in the next two weeks, it will be automatically resolved. Thank you for your help in this matter.
