Details

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.5) Gecko/20041107 Firefox/1.0
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.5) Gecko/20041107 Firefox/1.0

Twice in the last year I found myself in a situation of not being able to view a
page in firefox but the page loads fine with IE.

Suggestions:

- fix accidental backslashes in hyperlinks

One of the common mistakes you can find in web pages is an '\' in the hyperlink
instead of an '/'. Internet explorer fixes that, Firefox/Mozilla do not.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. put an '\' in the hyperlink
2. click with firefox
3. click with internet explorer

Actual Results:
firefox does not follow the link, internet explorer does.

Expected Results:
firefox should follow the link.
