this is a recent regression: broken in today's 2004112905-0.9 build, but not a
problem in 2004112705-0.9.

1. add a feed, such as any of the ones in the "News via RSS" section on
http://news.yahoo.com/ (lower left of page).

2. after feed is verified, look at its articles in the thread pane.

results: each article's subject ends with a >. for example (from the Yahoo World
news feed), "Hong Kong lives in the lap of luxury (AFP)>"

expected: there shouldn't be a trailing >.
Summary: all article subjects end with close angle bracket (>) → all article subjects end with closed angle bracket (>)
this was fine in y'day's (2004112805-0.9) build, so this regressed y'day.
