User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.7.5) Gecko/20041107 Firefox/1.0
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.7.5) Gecko/20041107 Firefox/1.0

In the URL http://carboncopy.rubeus.org/image/Screenshot.png, there is a big
image to be displayed. When the image is displayed by Firefox, it resized the
image to fit into the screen. When I clicked the image, it zoomed to the
original size.

At this point, I have pressed "Ctrl+F" to open the find toolbar. The find
toolbar opened at the bottom of the browser, but the image got again resised
back to fit into the screen.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Go to the URL http://carboncopy.rubeus.org/image/Screenshot.png
2. Wait till the image is loaded
3. Click on the image to zoom it to the original size
4. Type Ctrl+F to open the find toolbar
Actual Results:
The image which was zoomed in the Step 3, got resized back.

Expected Results:
It would have retained the size of the image in the same state which was there
before the Ctrl+F was pressed.
The URL is for an image, not a webpage. Firefox will only resize to fit screen
when the URL contains an image. If you embed the huge image in a webpage Firefox
does not resize it (see testcase).

Using "Find in this Page" on an image URL does not make sense. A solution could
be to ghost "Find in this Page" whenever a page contains no searchable content.
In that case this is an enhancement request.
The embedded image is not resized to fit screen, and using "Find on this Page"
has no effect.
I agree that it does not make sense to "find" in an image. But I assume it's
just cosmetic.

If someone type Ctrl+F by mistake when veiwing an image URL it would be better
to retain the original state only.
Opening the findbar resizes the content area, just like changing the size of the
whole browser window, which triggers a resize-to-fit from a zoomed image in both
cases. As you say, the sane way to handle it is not opening the findbar while
displaying an image, which makes this a dup.
