User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.7.5) Gecko/20041107 Firefox/1.0 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.7.5) Gecko/20041107 Firefox/1.0 During transition between normal and fullscreen mode (F11) firefox does this: 1) Unmap (withdraw) top level window 2) Change hints, raise window 3) Map top level window! 4) Change position and size The window mapping in 3) seems not to wait for the WM to acknowledge the window withdrawal (change WM_STATE or reparenting to root), which I belive violates the ICCCM. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: Trace X11 events during normal/fullscreen transitions :) Actual Results: The firefox top level window is prematurely mapped. Expected Results: Wait for window withdrawal acknowledge from WM before re-mapping it. Alternatively use a _NET_WM_STATE_FULLSCREEN message. Mozilla 1.7.3 does that and it works perfectly.
