I think this is more a Windows Media Player Problem. When you open a wmv file, the Media Player (when it`s the Default Player) get a link to the wmv File in your Mailbox. This link looks like: .\mailbox://G|/Documents and Settings/Tomcat/Application Data/Mozilla/Profiles/default/d9w5kd6v.slt/Mail/pop.mail.yahoo.com/Inbox?number=6571859&part=1.3&type=video/x-ms-wmv&filename=SecuritySettings.wmv The Problem is, that Microsoft Windows Media Player accepts only http:\\server\filename rtsp://Server/filename mms://Server/filename mms://Server/sami.asf?SAMI=http://Server/sami/sami_demo.smi (SAMI-File) So Media Player dont `t recognize the .\mailbox://G Format and so you get the Error. But you can also play wmv. files directly from your Mailbox as example via Winamp (tested with XP SP2 and Winamp 5.08e).
There is a workaround for this: Activate under Preference -> Advanced -> Script&Plug-ins the "Enable Plug-ins for Mail & Newsgroups". This will Play the .wmv File from your temp Files.
