Often (btter in most cases) both do not see incomming new mail. Check for new mail by hand does not help. The only way to get the new mail is to shutdown mozilla (ALL windows, including browser) and restart mail. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. start mail on e.g. two system. Same user/host using IMAP 2. send yourself a mail 3. wait forever to get this mail or 4. shutdown mozilla 5. restart mozilla Actual Results: in step 5 you get your mail Expected Results: in step 3 get your mail. It worked in some versions Mozilla <= 1.6
