27267 - Address book preference is not complete,needs back end support.

Using build 20000209m14 on win98, mac and linux Address book preference is not 
complete yet.  It needs back end support for server based preference string to 
hook up with the checkboxes.  In particular, the check boxes for PinPoint 
Addressing in the Addressing preference under Mail and Newsgroups are not 
staying checked.  
In bug 17465, Candice states that it needs backend support.  

1. Launch Messenger
2. Select Preferences from the Edit menu
3. Expand Mail and Newsgroups item in left pane
4. Select Addressing and check the box in the right pane "Look for Addresses in 
the following:  Address Books"
5. OK the Preference dialog
6. Open Preferences again to see if the check held- it didn't.
Note: same thing happens if you check the Directory box. 

Result: the check in the check box not saved
Expected: the check in the check box to be saved

I think this bug, as filed, was for prefs for pinpoint addressing.  I don't 
think it tracked the address book collection pref.

The Pref as describe above:

"PinPoint Addressing
Look for Addresses in the following:
 - ABs
 - Directories"

Has been modified. Since we no longer support directories, it seemed silly to 
have 

"Look for addresses in the following:
 - ABs"

Since, if you want pinpoint addresses, ABs is the only place it can look. So, 
this pref was changed to one checkbox:

- "Enable address autocompletion"

But it does the same thing as the 4.x pref. It enables pinpoint addressing (also 
called autocompletion). The user's ABs are used to complete against.

So, this is the same functionality, just modified a bit.

Yes, Autocomple is working. Tested using today's commercial builds on all 
platforms.
