User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.3) Gecko/20040910 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.3) Gecko/20040910 Everything was working fine - well sometimes moz crashed out and i had to restart inorder to use it again but then i switched no hyperthreading on my pc and all my bookmarks have vanished. This inculdes the toolbar folder and all folders that i had set up myself. The history is still there and all the passwords i have stored are still present - just the bookmarks have vanished. Reproducible: Didn't try Steps to Reproduce: 1.Requires Windows XP professional Edition 2.Enter the BIOS and switch on Hyperthreading 3.Login and start Mozilla Actual Results: The bookmarks had vanished Expected Results: Everything should have been as before - all my bookmarks should have been there
The system crash was the reason for the bookmarks loss, not the afterwards switching to hyperthreading. Feel free to reopen the bug if you disagree and provide steps to reproduce the problem. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 193749 ***

(only temporary?) Your problem was only on the first startup after the system change, right? Do you still have any problems with Mozilla?

The bookmarks are obviously still missing but everything else seems to working fine - Mozilla still remembered my passwords and preferences - everything but the bookmarks. It has crashed since then but the same resolution works - log off and then on again. > > >

It has crashed since then but the same resolution works - log > off and then on again. What is resolved by this? That Mozilla wants to create a new profile because the old one is not found?
Whenever it crashes and i try to restart mozilla before logging off it prompts me to create a new profile and will not work unless i do this - however if i log off completely and then log back in again mozilla opens fine and all my bookmarks etc are usually there except for when i had turned on hyperthreading :-(
