Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8a6) Gecko/20041201

trying to install flashblock from mozdev now cause a crash or hang
to reproduce:
with new profile, try installing 
http://downloads.mozdev.org/flashblock/flashblock.xpi
 Moz will crash or hang

successive attempts didn't cause a crash but networking stopped each time i
clicked the install link, no other links or bookmarks worked anymorel.
After trying to exit mozilla and restart, it turned out the mozilla process
still existed and had to be killed via taskmanager

The xpi installed fine with a build less than a week old so this regression is
recent.

took the latest build and tried again. no hang or crash now, but no xpi
installations seem to work at all.

also tried http://downloads.mozdev.org/adblock/adblock-0.5-dev.xpi - no go
