User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; rv:1.7.3) Gecko/20041001 Turboviper/0.10.1 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; rv:1.7.3) Gecko/20041001 Turboviper/0.10.1 Whenever I use Firefox to download a file, it attempts to access my A: drive before putting it on the Desktop (which I specified). If I change to another download location, it still wants to access the A: drive before putting it God-knows-where. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Download a file, or even open the Download manager (Ctrl-J) Actual Results: An error box labeled "firefox.exe - No Disk" opens. The error says: "There is no disk in the drive. Please insert a disk into drive A:." I then hit Continue. Sometimes this will happen a second time and I will hit Continue again. After that, it will go on to save the file to either the Desktop or some really obscure default location *that I didn't specify*. If I hit Ctrl-J, it will then open the Download Manager, as expected. Expected Results: I think the software should give up this unhealthy obsession with my A: drive completely. I have never tried to download anything to my A: drive and I don't intend to start. Win 2K is installed on the D: drive, but there is a C: I used Firebird previous to this, and this was NOT a problem
bug 142664 explains a workaround (or simply delete the downloads.rdf file in your profile with closed FF, you will lost your download history) *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 142664 ***
