Build 2000020817 will only partially load files that are greater than the specified size; rendering will cease at some arbitrary point, and the status bar will occasionally display "Read".

I'm also on win98 right now, build 2000020919, and am seeing similar results. (The page I viewed displayed 65K of about 450K of data before it stopped displaying data.) The console didn't display any error messages; it seems to think it was laid out correctly. Document file:///c|/mozilla/bugs/new.html loaded successfully Document Done (18.62 secs) Total (Layout + Page Load) Time (webshell=0086CDD0): Real time 0:0:2, CP time 2. 030

The beast's performance in loading "large" files is atrocious but complete, given several billion microseconds. Resolving--WorksForMe.
