This leads to an inconsistent view where the message displayed in the preview pane is not in the selected folder. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Select folder A 2. Select a message in folder A 3. Select folder B Actual Results: The preview pane continues to display the message from folder A. Expected Results: The preview pane should be either blank or display the first message in folder B. Is this related to bug 241555?

This bug is still happening, and appears related to the per-folder view settings (i.e. view unread only). Here are the steps I use to reproduce the problem: 1) Set your Junk folder to View:Unread using the drop-down at the top of the window; make sure the Junk folder contains no unread mail. 2) Move an unread message to the Junk folder. 3) Select the Junk folder in the folder list 4) Click on the unread message to display it in the preview pane 5) Select a different folder in the folder list. The preview pane will go blank or display the selected message in the new folder, as it should. 6) Select the Junk folder again. Even though no messages are displayed in the message list, the preview pane will redisplay the last message seen in this folder. I.e., it behaves as if the most recently viewed message in Junk is still selected. This is probably a "buglet" in and of itself, but a VERY minor annoyance. 7) Select a different folder (i.e. the Inbox). The preview pane will continue to display the message in Junk. THIS is the bug originally submitted.

This is an automated message, with ID "auto-resolve01". This bug has had no comments for a long time. Statistically, we have found that bug reports that have not been confirmed by a second user after three months are highly unlikely to be the source of a fix to the code. While your input is very important to us, our resources are limited and so we are asking for your help in focussing our efforts. If you can still reproduce this problem in the latest version of the product (see below for how to obtain a copy) or, for feature requests, if it's not present in the latest version and you still believe we should implement it, please visit the URL of this bug (given at the top of this mail) and add a comment to that effect, giving more reproduction information if you have it. If it is not a problem any longer, you need take no action. If this bug is not changed in any way in the next two weeks, it will be automatically resolved. Thank you for your help in this matter. That described behavior does not occur for me with version 2 beta 1 (20070103). Please check if a current build is still affected for you. If yes we should reopen the bug.
