User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; fr-FR; rv:1.7.5) Gecko/20041108 Firefox/1.0 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; fr-FR; rv:1.7.5) Gecko/20041108 Firefox/1.0 When you go to a page that use the popular rollover script of macromedia named 'MM_preloadImages' that everybody knows, the loading of the page don't terminate. You can see in the status bar that data are transfering indefinitely. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Go to http://izi-web.com/bugzilla/ 2. Look at the status bar Actual Results: You can see at the status bar : 'Waiting for izi-web.com' ('En attente de izi-web.com' in my language) Expected Results: 'Finished' ('Terminé' in my language)
notice that the throbber stops throbbing and that my net monitor doesn't add more bytes to the receiving section. what version of Dreamweaver did you use to create this page?
I use Dreamweaver MX 2004, but the script MM_preloadImages is the same in older versions.
Seeing the same thing with the test page i made. Independent of HTTP pipelining settings :-\ Reporter, do you think you're seeing bug 215948?
No, i don't thing the bug is the same than the 215948, because : 1. it's not a php problem, my sample is a html one 2. not need to refresh to see the problem (a refresh often correct it)
I've some precisions. The bug is larger than a problem with the 'MM_preloadImages' script. Firefox have a general problem with rollover images. I've done this test : I delete the call of 'MM_preloadImages' in the 'onload' attribute of 'body' : now when i load my page : no problem. But, when my cursor pass on a rollover image, the error come back in the status bar ! You can see that at this address : http://izi-web.com/bugzilla/test2.htm Other indication : if the file is not on a server, if you open the test2htm file directly from your hard disk(not on a local server), then there is no problem. (sorry for by bad expression and thanks for your attention)
