Details

Seen on Windows FF trunk build 2004-12-03-08-trunk

-Be sure to have browsed a few pages to create some history
-Goto View | Sidebar | History (ctrl+H)
-click an entry in the list of history items

tested results:
the page is not opened

expected resutls:
the page opens

note: workaround is to control click to open the item via context menu options.
This is also broken on Mac trunk builds.
OS: Windows XP → All
Hardware: PC → All
Severity: critical → major
Also broken under Linux (Dbl-click has no effect)
Draging item from history and dropping in main window works.
WFM:

Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win98; en-US; rv:1.8a6) Gecko/20041205 Firefox/1.0+

I noticed dbaron checked in a fix to handleHistoryClick() yesterday so that may
have fixed it.
Well, clicking on an item now appears to work, but it is still not possible to
select a group of items (by selecting in the gutter area) and then open them all
in tabs. But perhaps this should be closed and that should be filed as a
seperate bug?
this is fixed as seen on Firefox 2004-12-06-08-trunk

William, not being able to select multiple history entries is bug 259658
