User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; rv:1.7.3) Gecko/20041001 Firefox/0.10.1 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; rv:1.7.3) Gecko/20041001 Firefox/0.10.1 If I wana make a scroll on one webpage the middleclick occurs when over an link, when you just wana make a scroll and a new tab opens without my consens. If middle click will have no funtion then even if you just wana make a scroll and missclick on middleclick button you will not have to close tabs that open rapidly, and it is more easy to rightclick on an opened tab to close it instead of middleclick. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: There should be a dialog configuration window under the Options menu something like Mouse and Keyboard shortcuts. Under the Mouse configuration dialog should be the next options: Options to chose from: 1. Open links in new windows 2. Open links in new tabs 3. Tab dialog menu 4. Close tabs 5. Disabled Left click button option 2 (default) Middle click button option 5 (default) Right click button option 4 (default) Scroll speed Lines scrolled at one time slider to chose from 1 to 20 Scroll over many opened tabs on one Firefox window, more than 30 tabs ex: 30-50 tabs interval, when we make a downscroll over the tab bar the 30-60 interval tabs should be displayed, and when we make an upscroll the 1-30 tabs interval should be displayed so we can chose easily wat thab we want to view. Actual Results: It will enhance browsing speed. Expected Results: To add that options to the Option menu

This is more an enhancement than a bugfix.

Left and right clicks have clearly defined and expected behaviours in web browsers. We're not going to changes those as default values. Adding complicated prefs like this doesn't make sense, since the default behaviors are very very universal. Middle click to open links/close tabs is optimal since it doesn't break long-held conventions in document browsers. There are extensions that let you do things like this, but we're not planning on doing anything along these lines in the core browser.
