User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.5) Gecko/20041107 Firefox/1.0

For old codgers like me with limited hand-eye coordination, sometimes we tarry a
bit too long on the mouse button when clicking teensy-eensy screen widgets like
the 'x' button in the upper right portion of the screen that closes the current tab.
Result: I watch in horror as 2,3, or 4 tabs go poof one after another, even
though I've only clicked once.
Maybe this is an intended feature, but I find it unsettlnig

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open up 5 or 6 tabs
2. Move mouse pointer over little [x] button at right end of tabs bar
3. Depress left mouse button and hold it down a bit too long
4. Watch in horror

Actual Results:
I watched in horror as more tabs close than I intended.

Expected Results:
No tickee, no shirtee.
One clickee, one closee.

Nothing additional to report at this time.
That doesn't seem to be either a bug or a feature of Firefox, but of your mouse:
is it even older and codgier than you? If I hold down the button, I don't get
any action at all until the MouseUp when I release the button. Does your mouse
button not quite stay clicked when it's held, so it's firing multiple times? Or,
does your mouse driver have a setting (probably hidden away somewhere in Control
Panel - Mouse) to treat click-and-hold as keep-clicking-madly?

This bug has had no comments for a long time. Statistically, we have found that
bug reports that have not been confirmed by a second user after three months are
highly unlikely to be the source of a fix to the code.

While your input is very important to us, our resources are limited and so we
are asking for your help in focussing our efforts. If you can still reproduce
this problem in the latest version of the product (see below for how to obtain a
copy) or, for feature requests, if it's not present in the latest version and
you still believe we should implement it, please visit the URL of this bug
(given at the top of this mail) and add a comment to that effect, giving more
reproduction information if you have it.

If it is not a problem any longer, you need take no action. If this bug is not
changed in any way in the next two weeks, it will be automatically resolved.
