If I download my mail, then disconnect from the Internet, I am unable to view my
messages. Double-clicking on a message brings up a new message window, but the
text is not displayed, even if this is a plain text message. Connecting to the
Internet instantly fixes this problem.

This is inconvenient because I wish sometimes to review old e-mails without
having to dial-in. Please fix.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Connect to Internet
2. Open Thunderbird and download messages.
3. Disconnect from Internet
4. Double-click on a message to open it.

Actual Results:
Blank message window.

Expected Results:
Display the mail message I already downloaded.
you need to configure thunderbird to automatically download mail when you read it

File | Offline | download & sync now |

pick the select button, put a check mark by each folder you want thunderbird to
keep an offline copy of. From that point on, we will store the messages you read
in the offline store.
