RESOLVED DUPLICATE of bug 259068

I can understand why there might be a use for a custom protocol for true
server-based calendaring. However, it seems that the primary (perhaps only)
server that most people have ready access to is their mail server. It seems at
least as natural to use an IMAP folder as a store as it is to use a file on an
FTP/WebDAV share, even if technically it is less straight-foward.

I'd be interested in this project if it is/becomes part of the core roadmap.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.
2.
3.
I totally agree with that.

In my opinion, calendar should be integrated into thunderbird, like outlook does.
There are other open source groupware that does store calendar into imap like
kolab. there is no standard yet. But following one existing implementation would
be great.
